I just got an email from T-Mobile:

Dear T-Mobile HotSpot customer:

We are pleased to announce that T-Mobile HotSpot has launched a set of new rate plans designed to allow customers to Get More from the Internet. The new rate plans offer many enhancements including removal of airport surcharges and data transfer limits as well as unlimited access to the entire T-Mobile HotSpot network — all at the same low rate you are paying today.

Not that I’ve ever come near the transfer limit (would have come close this month, actually) or have used the service outside of Connecticut, but it’s nice to know that now I can. They’re automatically converting my account to the new rate plan, effective tomorrow. I know they’re only doing this because the HotSpot service has not taken off as they had hoped, but I’ll take it. I don’t know what I would have done without it these past few months of being “homeless.”
