After pulling a childish hissy fit last year that would make Emily proud, the folks at Opera have done an about-face and released a new version of Opera for Macintosh.
Let me get this straight. This is the company that makes a browser that I’m told is pretty good on the PC. Fine. Then they tried to get Mac users to pre-pay them for the privilege of getting a Mac version. Years later, one finally did come out. It was so-so, most Mac users didn’t care. Even Internet Explorer did a better job, and since then we also got Camino/Chimera, Mozilla, OmniWeb to name a few. Then Safari comes out from Apple and the folks at Opera start whining, which they seem to do almost as well and as frequently as they make PC browsers.
“Wah, wah, your browser is better than my browser. I’m taking my browser and I’m going home.”
“Okay. Bye.”
“I mean it, make way for me or else…”
“Bubye. Call me next time you’re in town. We’ll do lunch.”
“Well, if you insist, I’ll stick around. I hope you learned your lesson. ::sniff:: Oh, and that’ll be $39, please. Hey, I said please didn’t I?”
It will be interesting to see the reviews on this one.
