a good day

June 10, 2003

Any day that a crew of five very nice ladies come to your home with their own cleaning equipment and they get rid of the last of the construction dust can be called a good day. :-) I put Emily in the backup childcare at Eric’s office since I wanted to be here while the house was being cleaned but I didn’t want Emily underfoot. So I spent the four hours here in my office catching up on work. I returned some phone calls and made appointments and generally feel like I’m getting control back in my life. The house looks great, I just need a fortune to decorate it. It feels wonderful to live in a house that I’m proud of. It’s difficult to walk in the first time and see the columns and the balcony and not say “wow.” It’s gorgeous, and now it’s really clean. :-)
