I finally got around to upgrading to OS X 10.3.1 and the new security update this afternoon. It’s not that big a download, but I have some 3rd party pref panes that I wanted to be sure and uninstall first. Better safe than sorry. It was a quick and easy upgrade and everything (including the 3rd party stuff) is up and running. No problems.
The new security update sneaks in an updated Safari (version 1.1.1) and for some reason, it seems a bit faster than previous versions. I’m not hearing the disk activity and seeing a lag in loading pages as I was with 1.1. I’m trying it as my default browser again and we’ll see how long it takes to either have pages stall on load or have the cache drive me crazy.
