Adriaan Tijsseling has just released the first non-beta version of ecto. He offered a discount to folks like me who donated in the past, and I promptly took him up on it. I even ordered a second copy for my hubby, the new blogger.
I had a little moment of concern when I launched 1.0 and I couldn’t figure out how to switch between my blogs. But only immediately after emailing Adriaan did I figure out that there’s a new “weblogs” icon in the toolbar. I’m a Mac user. Who reads “Read Me” files, anyway? ![]()
I’m not sure I like it better than the pop-up in the drawer, but I’ll get used to it. Overall, it’s an outstanding application and with 4 installations of MovableType (soon to be 5) to maintain, the shareware fee was money well spent.
