BlogHer interview of yours truly

Last November, I did an email interview with Beth Kanter for the BlogHer website. It’s now live. I talk about what I’ve been doing for C3 and my blogging here.

I even sent her a picture:

The coat makes me look heavier than I really am (although I could definitely lose a few). I was having a decent hair day so I went with this picture. Plus it showed off some of my C3 stuff. Isn’t it sad that I’d rather look fat than frizzy? ;-)

The picture was taken last October standing in front of our exhibit table at the University of South Carolina during a colon cancer health fair aimed at college students (to get them to talk to their parents about screening and know their own risks).

I enjoyed reading the interview–it’s interesting to get another view on your life and career.

I didn’t realize we both had our first children in 1996–Henry’s ten now, looking at 11 in February. Can’t believe he is almost a teenager. We are applying to middle schools right now. Ack!

As for frizz vs. fat–I find I can look good even when I am feeling fat–but it’s hard to look good with frizz. So if I have to have one or the other, I’d choose fat too! Fortunately there are short-term fixes for frizz (though long-term they seem to make my face breakout, giving me a frizz vs. zits choice).

I guess web workers don’t need to worry too much about what they look like, until video chat becomes more common. :)
