Everything else

If you've been keeping up with all my website changes over the years (this is at least the 5th redesign), you'll notice that this time I have downplayed the personal nature of the site. It's still there. This site is all me. I will never present a cold corporate-looking "about us and our big firm" type site when everyone knows it's just little ole me sitting here at the keyboard.

But there were still some things that I had to keep on the website, and probably always will. Most of the mundane stuff is covered in the blog anyway.

Over the past two years we have put our house through a complete transformation. My site got a lot of attention, as far as from Australia, over my blow-by-blow nail-by-nail journal of the construction process. The house is done, we love it, and you'll find all the files relating to it here.

My father died of colon cancer in 1999. On the day he died, I created a website in his honor. I think I used Claris Home Page. You can find that website here. I made a vow that I would keep the site up for as long as I owned a website, and I'm not quitting now. Dad's with me all the time anyway.

Eric and I both started Weight Watchers in 2000 and reached our weight loss goals about a year later. Eric lost 80 lbs. and I lost 50 lbs. We've both put back a little bit, but 90% of it is still gone 2 years later. Here's some before/after pictures.
